Odyssey has had a strong history of internal staff development. We believe that a skilled and motivated workforce is central to the delivery of high quality services. Based on our extensive experience to date and our belief in using predominantly practitioners as trainers, Odyssey's Learning and Development Solutions for Today was launched in 2002 and is designed to meet the incoming requirements of the Care Standards Act (2000) and the Government White Paper ‘Valuing People’.

Odyssey works in partnership with Impact Social Care Training to provide a range of accredited programmes of training and assessment to both our own workforce and that of other learning disability provider organisation. This service has been founded in line with our vision to continually improve and develop services for people with learning disabilities. As experienced trainers and practitioners within the learning disability field, we aim to provide creative learning and development solutions designed to meet the needs of today’s social care workforce.
