Odyssey Aims to:
- To provide a range of demonstrably high quality, community based services for people with learning disabilities living in London which include Residential Care, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, Holiday Respite, Community Support Services, Activity Services and Community Access.
- To ensure that all services are based on clearly identified individual needs and reflect good practice in relation to “Ordinary Living Principles”, Equal Opportunities as well as all relevant, current legislation.
- To respond effectively and reconfigure services/support on an ongoing basis in the light of any changing needs of those people we support.
- To maximise meaningful individual consultation and involvement.
- To facilitate and support staff management practices which maximise the competencies and performance of all employees.
- To ensure effective communication and consultation throughout the organisation, enabling all staff and the people they support to participate in the direction of Odyssey and understand the role they play in it.
- To strive for “excellence” in all parts of the organisation, ensuring effective quality management processes.
- To create and regularly review policies and procedures relating to Care and Support, Human Resources, Financial and Operational Management to ensure good practice and consistency.
- To maintain a strong, sound financial base to ensure the future security and stability of the organisation.
- To ensure that the organisation as a whole complies with changing legislation and developing models of good practice.
